Join St. Norbert College for their Asian-Pacific Islander Celebration Week to recognize cultures of the Middle East, subcontinental India, the traditional Orient, Southeast Asia and the islands of the Pacific.
The week begins Monday, April 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Campus Center for the Rhythms of Polynesia, a performance of Pacific Islander ensemble dances.
A film discussion will be held Wednesday, April 9 from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Cassandra Voss Center. Examine the representations of Asians within film.
Lastly, the fourth-annual Asian-Pacific Islander Dinner will be Friday, April 11 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. A buffet will be offered along with a talk from guest speaker Hung Nguyen of the Richard Mauthe Center. The dance group Nkauj Hmoob Hli Nra (The Full Moon Girls) will also perform. The event will be held in the Michels Commons Ballroom and doors open at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 and are available at the LSE Office.
