*Juneteenth Celebration*

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the abolition of slavery in the United States. Green Bay’s Juneteenth celebration is hosted by NEWAAMA. The 2013 celebration’s time and location have not yet been determined.

*Kwanzaa Celebration*

Kwanzaa is the first specifically African American holiday created in order to celebrate Black history. Celebrations are meant to help African Americans reconnect with their culture and heritage.
